  • Necklace

In a seaside village, there is a girl that inherited a beautiful necklace from her grandma. Driven by envy, other girl bullies that girl and throws the necklace into the sea.

With sadness, the girl jumps into the sea for commit suicide. Under the sea, she encounters a trapped whale. She kindly helps the whale to escape. An even more beautiful necklace comes out from the whale mouth and with the help of the whale, the girl return to her village.

Envy for that even more beautiful necklace, people rush to the sea and dive. The whale then eats them all without mercy.

It seemed that the whale is chasing me. Is he chases me for giving me a gift, or want to engulf me due to wrath?

  • Wings

There is a fable about wings of bird. Initially, birds were created without wings. To avoid them being eaten by predator, god create wings and placed before these little creatures. In the eye of them, it is a burden and they were hesitating to take up these ‘burden’.

Only few are obedient. They barely picked up the wings with their beaks and placed it on their shoulder. To avoid it to be slides down, they tired it to their heart. Initially, the load is heavy and difficult to bear. Yet, as the wings attached to their little bodies and grow within them, they were able to fly freely in the sky. The weights had become wings.

Some refuse to take the ‘burden’ and complained that they are too heavy. As a result, they don’t have wing and so remain on the ground. Now, I am one of them starring at the sky for the grown-up bird that freely fly in the sky. What can I say?

  • Alchemy

Organism diversity is rooted from diversity of protein. However, protein diversity is just based on different combination of limited type of amino acid with few types of chemical modification. With this, sheep can be turned into lion, toxin could be turned into drugs, and grass can be turned into weapon.

The key is like what described in alchemy. Understand how matter are constructed, break it down to the basic blocks, and then assembly it. This is what organism does from day to day.

There is constant and plentiful food supplied to me. What protein is the Lord expects me to synthesize?

  • Maze

This Thursday, I have two consecutive dreams.

A boy and a dog are watching TV with his grandpa. The programme is on how the road system was build from simple block of road. When the boy try to figure out how the network be degenerated back to simple block, he tired and claim that it is a mess. The dog rest with the boy, but then continue the try and succeed.

A plague spread throughout a town. Doctors there try to figure out the cure. Tired of the try, they throw the book out of the hospital as they are useless. Then somebody passed by the town and drops the cure recipe to the hospital.

At that Saturday, a programme on the history of a cathedral in France was shown. It was mentioned that there is a maze in the entrance of the cathedral. We must pass through the maze of life before we confront the Lord. It seemed that I have to throw away the useless books inside my heart to keep my journey light. Hope through ‘try, rest, and insist’, I could pass over the maze and reach my destination.

Because of an accident, I met the underlying story of the blog background I adopted on 5/8

    FOOTPRINTS from http://m-elmer-48.xanga.com/

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance. - Ecclesiastes 3:1,4.

One night, a man has a dream that Lord Jesus are walking down the road together with him. For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace. But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns. For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling, His consistently. You and Jesus are walking as true friends! This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints that once etched the sand next to Jesus' are now walking precisely in His steps. Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are becoming one. This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice another change. The footprints inside the large footprints seem to grow larger. Eventually they disappear altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one. This goes on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints is back. This time it seems even worse! Zigzags all over the place. Stops. Starts. Gashes in the sand. A variable mess of prints. You are amazed and shocked.

The dream ends and he pray: 'Lord, I understand the first scene, with zigzags and fits. I was a new Christian; I was just learning. But You walked on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with You.' 'That is correct.' 'And when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning to walk in Your steps, following You very closely. 'Very good. You have understood everything so far.' When the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose that I was becoming like You in every way.' 'Precisely.'

'So, Lord, was there a regression or something? The footprints separated, and this time it was worse than at first.' There is a pause as the Lord answers, with a smile in His voice. 'You didn't know?  It was then that we danced!'
